A signing the contract I was informed that the minimum distance between the garage and the wall of the Home is 3 feet. This information misled me and I signed the contract. But when I came to Town of Liberty Building Department #8452928511 the Inspector refused to accept the permit application because the site plan did not allow to install the garage 3 feet from the house wall. I don’t have place to install the garage 10 feet from the house wall and 25 feet from the garage to the property line,according to NY State Law.'For this reason I am canceling the contract and I would like a refund of the $2234.51 deposit.

To proceed with a refund under the permit-denial policy we need a copy of the permit denial or written confirmation from your building department. A plot plan alone is not enough.

Our management team typically requires written confirmation from the building department — even a forwarded email stating the lot cannot take the building.

Please reply to this email with that document attached. Review takes 1–2 weeks after we have what we need.
