I am writing in regard to the metal building order that we placed with your company and the deposit that was paid toward the project. At the time we made this purchase, we fully intended to move forward with building the shop on our current property. Unfortunately, life circumstances changed unexpectedly. Within a span of only two weeks, my husband lost both of his grandmothers. This has been an incredibly emotional and difficult time for our family. During this process, his grandmother gifted us a property in New York, along with the property we currently reside on. While we are deeply grateful for this gift and blessing from her, it has also brought significant life changes and responsibilities that we were not anticipating when we entered into this agreement. After carefully evaluating our situation, we have come to the difficult realization that we will not be able to maintain both properties financially or practically. Because of this, we will no longer be living at the property where the metal building was originally intended to be installed. Additionally, the New York property already contains existing structures and does not have adequate space or accommodations for another building. I am more than willing to provide the address or any additional information needed regarding the property if necessary. This decision was not made lightly. We were genuinely excited about this project and had every intention of moving forward when the deposit was placed. However, due to these unforeseen family losses and major life transitions, we are respectfully requesting a full refund of our deposit. We sincerely hope you can understand the emotional and financial position our family is currently facing and show compassion toward our situation. Your consideration and understanding during this difficult season in our lives would truly mean more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our request and consider our circumstances. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hearing from you.

What the app recommends
Policy engine decide()Credit on file
80% mediumAfter 72h with no qualifying permit denial → credit on file
Outside the 72-hour cancel-for-any-reason window and no qualifying unfixable permit denial. Offer credit on file toward a future building of the same or higher value (historically valid 2 years). Ask them to confirm before converting. Do not describe this as a 90-day cancellation policy.
From order-form rules + opened permit file. Independent of Jacob's sent mail.
Jacob sent and policy proposal both chose credit_on_file under outside_policy_default_credit.

Hello Bryan VanDewark, We have completed reviewing your cancellation request. This request falls outside our cancellation policy: the 72-hour cancel-for-any-reason window has passed, and we do not have a government-signed unfixable permit denial within 90 days of signing. If you wish to proceed with the cancellation, the deposit will convert to a credit on file toward a future building of the same or higher value. The credit is stored under your contact information and is historically valid for two years. Please tell us how you would like to proceed.
